Ofsted Report 2024: Disley Primary School Continues to be a 'Good' School

We are delighted to announce that following our Ofsted inspection in July 2024, Disley Primary School has once again been rated ‘Good’. This reflects the hard work and dedication of our pupils, staff, and wider school community.

The Ofsted report highlights several strengths that make our school a nurturing and vibrant place for children to thrive:

• Supportive and Nurturing Environment: Pupils flourish in our caring, close-knit community, where they feel safe, supported, and eager to learn. Their happiness is evident in their positive attitudes and enthusiasm for school life.
• Broad Curriculum: The inspectors praised our well-planned curriculum, which ensures pupils build strong foundations of knowledge from the early years through to Year 6. Pupils also benefit from a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as fencing, dancing, and various sports, helping them develop their talents and interests.
• High Aspirations for All: Ofsted noted our commitment to academic and social development, with special recognition for how well we support pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
• Love of Reading: We are particularly proud that Ofsted acknowledged our efforts to foster a love of reading across the school, with initiatives such as our reading ambassadors and book swap café.
