Coronavius: A Book for Children
We’ve put together a free digital book for primary school age children to help explain the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. Illustrated by Gruffalo illustrator, Axel Scheffler, and written by staff within the company, the book has had expert input: Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant, and the company also had advice from two headteachers and a child psychologist. You can find out more and read the book here.
Resources from Speechwise - our school Speech Therapy team.
We have uploaded some helpful resources from Speechwise, our Speech and Language therapists, which may help support parents to timetable and structure a home learning week. You will find a visual timetable, a child-friendly explanation of why we are home learning and a simple explanation of what a virus is.
You will find these resources at the bottom of this page. We hope you find them helpful
Thanks to Mrs Hartley and Speechwise for these.
